The Publicroads Organisation is a Not-For-Profit and Non-Political Group, that has been formed to provide the Road Users of NSW with information, to show how our Roads have been neglected over the last 40 years by both the State / Federal Governments, Liberal & Labour Parties that have been in power over this 40 year time frame. Have done very little to put a proper Road System in Sydney, and the rest of NSW. We now require Major upgrades to bring our Roads into the 21stCentury, all as Public Roads and not as Tollways.Most Road users would like to SAVE: Time/Fuel/Tollway Charges, and not spending time waiting on GRIDLOCKED Roads.

 

Toll Roads, are not the answer , as it is impossible for a Toll Road Company, to build the Roads we need operating throughout  Sydney, as 4/5/6/7  lanes each side of a Motorway, is not a profitable operation for a Toll Way Company, and their Shareholders. That's why all our present Toll Ways are GRIDLOCKED, and by adding a new lane here and there will just add more GRIDLOCK. The NSW State Government should fund all our Roads, in a proper manner, and start Major Planning and start building the Roads we need now.  

 

The Publicroads Organisation, wants the NSW State Government to purchase the M2/M5/M7 back from the Toll Ways Companies, and build a 7 lane each side Freeway [Sydney Orbital Road System] renamed the F10 , so we can have a proper Freeway for the next 25 years, go to [map for SORS] to view the proposed Road layout for Sydney. Have your say, as a Road User, on what you think of this [SORS] layout . Your comments are required, so we do get the right Roads we urgently need.Outside Sydney we need Major upgrades to the Pacific Highway and the Princes Highway.

 It is often said by the Media, that Sydney NSW is the best City in the best Country in the World, why don't we have the Best Roads ?.

 If you log on to Google Maps, and plan a route, with a Time, you can take the planned route, but 95% your never meet the time posted, on our present Tollways. At present there are 4.3 million people living in Sydney, in 10 years the population of Sydney will increase to over 5 million, and in 18 years to over 6 million, if we don't take Action Now, we will have to live with permanent GRIDLOCK 7 Days a week. It's now time to instruct your Elected State/Federal Politicians to ACT NOW.No proper Roads equals NO VOTES unless you agree to Major Road building in NSW.

The NSW State Government, has asked Academics, how to solve our present Road Problems. These Academics are advising the NSW State Government to charge all Road Users, a Fee of from 12 cents to 27 cents for each kilometre you drive, [that they say will keep most drivers off the Roads] No need to build New Roads. Just keep the ones we have in good shape. So what will this add to your motoring cost each year, let's take 15cents a kilometre , and you drive 15,000 kilometre a year, this would add $2,250.00 to your motoring costs, but say the Federal Government adds 10% GST that would then take  the total to $2,475.00 extra a year,or $47.60 per week, I am sure all Road Users, will be pleased to pay this New Fee on top of what they are paying now. That's why you have to Act Now, and stand up for  your Right's, while there is still time.

That is why we are asking all Road Users to join, thePublicroad Organisation NOW. Together we can get the Sydney & NSW Roads we need. Joining Fee is $20.00 per year, to help with our Web Site/Printing/Newsletters/Postage/and other out of pocket expenses. Remember we are a Not for Profit Organisation, we are run by Volunteers only. [We will need Volunteers to do Mail Drops].
